Soap holder ,Old Glory stocking, and Penny Rugs

Well, I've had a couple of productive days. The weather has been beautiful and I've wanted to spend all my time outside, but I have a show coming up in a little over a month and I'm starting to panic. It seems I'm spending all my time checking out blogs and not getting anything done. LOL Just wanted to show a few of the things I've gotten done lately. First is this wonderfully prim little soap holder made from a piece of pine board and a little butter bowl that has been cut in half. Found the the directions for this simply delicious little piece from Simply Prim's blog. You should check Kris out. She's fantastic.

Next, I visited Sweetpeas Primitives blog and she had this wonderful free pattern for an Old Glory stocking. Well, I just loved it and had to make one for myself. I used and old cutter quilt (the one pictured in my previous post) for the stocking and used sweet annie instead of lavendar for filler. I just loved how this turned out. Thanks Sweetpea for the pattern!!

I sell a lot of penny rugs and candle mats at my shows, so I thought I would show two of my most recent projects. This one is a sheep with a quilt block on his back. Didn't want to put this one in the box to sell, but can't keep it all. Hubby says get rid of it all, but I know he's just kidding. He's actually very supportive.

Last ,but not least is this cardinal wool penny rug. I'm not really a bird lover, but cardinals are still "hot" sellers at my shows.
Till next time,
Becky
