Today I worked on a project for myself. This is a kit I bought 4 or 5 years ago. I have decided that I need to start making things for myself. So today I worked on this quilt top. There is more to this quilt. This is only the center. I feel I finally accomplished a little toward my goal of finishing this quilt before Halloween this year.
I'm off to work on some hand work this evening. Tomorrow is a work day, so I'll relax the rest of the night. Thanks for visiting.
Enjoy your evening~Becky

Oh, to see the bunnies frolicking in the yard again.
Thought I'd share a touch of Spring in my home cuz when I look out the window, all I see is a blanket of snow.
I'm off for the next 2 days & will be working on goodies for a couple of swaps.
Enjoy your day prim friends~Becky

Just a quick note to let you all know that thanks to Rhonda at Kattywhompus Primitives I'll soon have a copy of Mercantile Gatherings magazine. I've heard so much about it, but have not seen an issue yet. I was a runner up in her giveaway & that is my prize. I can't wait to check it out. If you get a chance, go check out her blog. She has lots eye candy to inspire you.

Happy Friday friends.
I hope you are all having a wonderful day. It's a beautiful day here~the sun is shining & it's in the 50's. Not too shabby for the middle of February. We have to take those great days when they come.
Well, I promised I would show you the goodies I got when I went to my fav little antique shop with my mom the other day~so here they are...
A wonderful hooked rug. I really love this rug & will leave it out all year. And for the really great news~it was on sale!!
Also bought (couldn't help myself it was on sale too) this wonderful rug with hearts. It is darker than pictured. Love it! Love it! Love it!
And then I just had to buy these rag balls. I have always liked rag balls, so when I checked on the price, I just had to snatch these up. They were only 50 cents each. They are real rag balls, not covered styrofoam ones. I bought almost all of them.
I put them in this old dry measure that I've had forever & placed them under my bench in my dining room.
Thanks for visiting today. Have a wonderful weekend! I plan on it.

It's been really warm here the last few days & I'm loving it. Spring fever has set in & was helped along today by a package that arrived in the mail. I bought this wonderfully chippy blue tray from Misi at Gable House Goodes & it arrived today. With it, was some dried grass & 6 eggs. Well~that's all it took for me to dig out my Spring & Easter decor & start decorating.
Since those are the goodies I started with, they're all I'll show you tonight. This is what I put together with the tote, the eggs, & one of the rabbits I won from her a few weeks back.
It's late & I have to work tomorrow. I'm back on day shift for a couple of weeks.
Have a good evening~Becky

I received another package in the mail today. I was excited because it was my swap package from Angie. She was my partner in a swap hosted by Char of The Pickled Pepper Patch. This is what I say when I opened the box.
And these are the goodies that were packed inside. She sent me a little basket, a yummy smelling candle, candle mat, fresh egg metal sign, & that big think hidden by the flash is a wonderfully prim pantry cake. Thanks Angie for the goodies & thank you to Char for hosting another swap.
I spent part of today with my mom at a fav little prim shop & a couple antique shops. I'll show off my goodies soon, but now I've got to run. Today is #1 son's 19th birthday & we're off to spend the weekend snowmobiling.
Enjoy your weekend~Becky

I took part in a swap hosted my Tammy at A Primitive Place & was paired up the Sabrina. She really spoiled me. My goodies were all packaged in this prim black bag. She included a wonderfully prim card.
Goodies all wrapped up...
Card, prim candle, little Antiques sign, prim note paper, & a cute bunny ornament.
Wonderful prim dress with stitched bag...already hanging on my peg rack.
And a wonderfully prim prairie doll. She is in my antique doll bed with her bunny friend & another prairie doll.
Thank you Sabrina for a wonderful swap. I had a great time.

It's Tuesday again & time for Misi's display chain. I missed last week but I'm back again for this week. My post will be super short today as I have been sick & need to get a lot of things done before heading off to work.
This first pic shows my first "love".... Family. Family makes you who you are. They love you unconditionally. They are with you through good times & bad, share your joys & your sorrows.
My second & last "love" is....Friends.
I can honestly say the same things about friends as family. I have made quite a few friends throughout the years. I am so glad that I started blogging because I have met many people. I consider you all my friends although I have only met 1 on you.
I thank you all for visiting me & leaving comments. I do enjoy them.
Hugs to you all~

What do you think of my rug? Beautiful isn't it? I won this from Lauren at Rugs & Pugs. She was giving away a wonderful red heart hooked rug. I love her blog~love, love, love seeing her rugs & of course hearing all about the antics of her pugs. You must visit her, I know you will love her blog as much as I do. Okay, back to my story. Lauren also made this blue heart rug & some wonderful woven hearts & chose three winners instead of just one. Generous? Very!! She chose my name first & let me choose which of the three goodies I wanted. I couldn't decide so I threw 2 slips of paper in a bowl & chose one. Blue was my choice. Yes!! I didn't include the woven hearts as a choice cuz darn it~I wanted a rug!! Although I would have been happy with the hearts~they were just so cute. So here is my wonderful rug!!!
Now, here's where I need your help. I can't decide where to put it. And don't say you'll take it cuz there's no way I'm parting with it!
First choice~on a little table in my kitchen....
Second option~in my sewing room/kids game room....
Choice number three~dining room on my antique hoosier cabinet...
I really would like your opinion on this.
Speaking of woven hearts~this little goodie was tucked in with my rug. I told you Lauren was a wonderful lady. I knew exactly where this beauty was going. No help needed with this one.
I needed a little somethin, somethin for my mixer cabinet & this fit the bill perfectly.
Thank you Lauren from the bottom of my heart. I love my goodies & I know I made the right choice with the blue rug (even though the choice was with my eyes closed LOL).
Don't forget~ I would like your opinion on where to put my rug. I do enjoy all your comments & read every one of them.
Have a wonderful weekend all!!

As you can see, I've been a little busy lately. I managed to finish up two swaps & got them packaged up. I also packed up Dee's bunny cone from my giveaway & will be shipping everything off today. So Dee, Angie, & Sabrina if you're reading this, your goodies will be at the post office by 2:30 today. I'm waiting for my son to get home from work. He has my truck & there is no way I'm going to drive his car.
On to my other goodies... I purchased both of these things from ebay. Imagine my surprise when I opened up my package to find this wonderful little lady. Well~I knew she was coming to live at my house, but the surprise was she was made & signed by Betty Dekat of Primitive Bettys. There was nothing in the description saying who made this beauty, but I'm glad she's mine now!
I remember seeing this next beauty a couple of years ago for sale somewhere (ebay I think). I loved it, but could not buy it at the time cuz it was just not in my budget. Now, here it was for sale again. I just figured it was another made from a pattern (and maybe there is a pattern for this) but this one is signed by D. St Germain. Could this be Deb of Woolen Sails? I think so, but I'm going to email her to find out. I will be checking out the other offerings by this seller.
Until then, I will be enjoying my new goodies!
Enjoy your day~Becky
