New Spring Goodies Listed on Ebay

Good evening. Hope you all had a wonderful week end. I've been busy crafting this past week and decided to list these items on ebay. Ebay id is zoeyrulz if anyone is interested. First item is a prim punch needle rabbit box.
Next item is this little pillow door hanger.
Love this next one.  Prim easter egg rabbit tuck.
I think this prim rabbit door greeter is my favorite thing I made this week. Two little bunnies in an antique quilt pocket.

I also finished my snowball quilt top and am working on finishing the Eagle quilt. I will make sure to post pics in the next couple of days.

Off to list these goodies on ebay.

He finally did it....

Happy Sunday everyone. This proud Mom wants you all to know that Cody is the newest Eagle Scout in Troop 741. He had his Eagle Board of Review yesterday morning. Here he is with Helen~one of our district leaders. Check out that big smile. He's probably thinking "What a relief~mom is finally off my butt." This was taken right after he found out that he was official.

The next picture is with Jane (his second Mom). She has been with him throughout his whole scouting career. He started in 1st grade & is now a senior in high school. She is a proud Mom too. Cody is the last of her boys to Eagle.

Time to get it in gear. My goal was to finish Cody's eagle quilt and sew together all my snowball blocks by this week end and I have a long way to go to finish (and a lot of cleaning to do too).  Have a wonderful day!!

Snowball blocks and a sneak peak...

Happy Wednesday everyone!!  I have to show you what I have been working on the last couple of Mondays. I have been working on a snowball quilt. I love the snowball block, but do not enjoy making them. They are easy to make, just time consuming. I need 256 total blocks to make my quilt. I started out with 128 large dark squares and 128 large light squares of fabric. Then I needed the small corner squares~so I cut 512 small light squares and 512 small dark squares. Then I had to draw a diagonal line across all 1024 little squares.
Then it was time to sew the small squares to the big squares.
Next you cut off all four corners of the block and press the seams open.
After all that cuttin, sewin, cuttin again and pressing, you end up with 256 finished blocks. Now comes the fun part~laying them out on the floor and sewing the blocks all together. I hope to have this done by Friday but I have to work, so we'll see.
In the meantime, here is a sneak peak of Cody's Eagle Scout quilt. I finished quilting it yesterday. All I have to do to finish it is rip off all the stencil paper and sew on the binding. I hope to have this finished by the week end. I will show the finished project as soon as it's completed.

I best get crackin!! I have a lot to finish up and need to check out what you wonderful ladies have been up to before shuttin down the ole computer. Have a wonderful rest of the week!!

Happy Tuesday~ I'm on a roll

Well, I'm still not feeling like I am back to normal~good thing I have another day off today, but I will be puttering around the house slowly trying to get some things finished.
Remember the pillow top I took along on our vacation? It went all the way to Florida and back and I never touched it. I did most of the driving because hubby has sleep apnea & it makes me nervous when he drives for long stretches. Well, I finished the top last night and made it into a pillow. I love how it turned out. The pattern came from the book Autumn Gatherings by Lisa Bongean & Carole Charles of Primitive Gatherings. If you are a fan of fall, this book is for you.

Have a great Tuesday~I'm off to work on some projects!!

Wonderful week end and another finish.

What a wonderful week end we had. We drove up to my parent's cabin in the North Woods of Wisconsin. The sun was shining & the temperatures were in the mid 30's.  A beautiful week end!!!  We rode 185 miles on Saturday, came  back to the cabin and had a nice hamburger dinner. Hamburgers you say~what's so great about hamburgers?  It was the first time we grilled out in a long time and the burgers were delicious!! I guess I'm a girl of simple tastes. Before going to bed for the evening, we watched a young doe out the back window for about half an hour. What a delightful way to finish the day. Sunday was a quick ride and then off home we went.
Today I was supposed to host the ladies for our sewing group, but it was not meant to be. Stephen (the younger son) woke up with the stomach flu & I followed shortly after.  Luckily it seems to be the shorter version. By mid afternoon, we both were feeling well enough to do a little something. I decided to make this autograph book for Cody for his Eagle Scout Court of Honor. I cut out the pieces out of wool and used my new felting machine (my Christmas present from my parents) to fuse the pieces to my foundation wool. I then glued the finished piece to a blank journal I bought from my local Dollar store. I just love how it turned out and it only took about an hour. I am so excited about this machine!! I can see the possibilities.

Have a great week!!

I'm Back...and check out this beautiful rug

I am a terrible blogger. I have actually been back from vacation for a little over a week.  I needed a vacation from my vacation. We drove to Florida~we took our boys to Disney. We had a wonderful time. I've been catching up on reading all my favorite blogs and doing a little shopping on ebay. I purchased this wonderful hooked rug from Rhonda at http://myglorystars.blogspot.com/ . It arrived in the mail today and I absolutely love it!! It is a really early Birthday present to myself. I love hooked rugs & collect rabbits, so this rug was perfect for me. She has some other wonderful things listed on ebay, but I have to behave & not buy any more things for a while. We are trying to save up to purchase some hunting land with a cabin. This has been a dream of my hubby's for a long time~and because he gives me everything I ever want, it's time he gets something he wants. I wouldn't mind another place to decorate.LOL
This is Cody relaxing in our Disney hotel. He turned 18 on February 11. Happy Birthday Baby!  He's finally finished with his Eagle Scout paperwork and will be having his final interview next Saturday to see if he is deserving of the award. Wish him luck! We told him not to be nervous and to be himself & he will not have a problem.Stephen relaxing in our hotel. He had a great time our first day. He loved our hotel. We were pleasantly surprised when we opened our door and discovered that we had been upgraded. We reserved a room with 2 beds and we got a family suite. The room had two full bathrooms, a small kitchen, a seperate bedroom for Tim and I, a sleeper sofa and a sleeper chair, and a seperate living area. The boys liked that they had their own t.v.

Me and Hubby at the Florida Welcome center.

Boys in front of our hotel. We stayed at the All Star Music resort. We were in the Jazz building.
Tim getting a kick in the pants by the giant cowboy boot in front of the Country Music building at our resort.
I've been getting the urge to work on some spring craft projects after seeing all the wonderful things posted. I have a couple of fall and winter projects to finish up first. I will post pics of finished things as they are completed.

We are going snowmobiling this week end so have a great week end.
