Pitter Patter Pitter Patter for OLM

Olde Lady Morgan is having a most wonderful giveaway & to earn a bonus entry, we could blog about what makes our hearts skip a beat. I've waited till the last minute to post this~just kept putting it off & tonight I MUST get it done.

So here goes....

Rummage sales get the old ticker thumpin....the thrill of the hunt!!

Packages delivered by my fav government worker...Mr. Postman. My little ol heart starts a beatin every time I come home to find one of these on my porch. I think it does the same for my younger son cuz he always wants to open my packages for me. Hehe!!

A slow stroll through my gardens always does wonders for the heart.

Checking out antique shops always helps to keep the ticker fluttering~especially when I find some wonderful treasures.

Cubbies...need I say more??!!??

My quilties....love them all~old, new, black, blue, & everything in between. Makes the heart fill with joy when discovering an old one or finishing a new one.

And finally~my family is the biggest reason my heart beats with pride & joy!!

Hello Mailman....Thank you Misi!!

About a week ago, this showed up on my porch...


It was a package from Misi at http://1890gablehousemusings.blogspot.com/. I was a lucky winner of her Tuesday display chain. The prize was supposed to be one of her yummy apple candles. She emailed & said she had tucked in a couple extra goodies. Oh my!!! Lookie what she sent me....

The box was full of all these fabulous goodies!! Just look at it all!! I can't even begin to describe the smell.. All I can say these goodies smell soooo good!!

Now I'll show you where I put them...



The clove studded candle looks fabulous on a fabric covered box in my kitchen.

The precious little beeskep is also in my kitchen in my newest little cubby.

This large tart found a home on my stove board under my make do fly screen .

I was also lucky enough to receive one of Misi's can candles. I can't stop sniffing it! Hehe!! I haven't burned it yet (too hot) , but I can smell it every time I walk past it.

The final goodie was this apple candle. It found a new home on top of a stack of cubbies in my dining room. Isn't it awesome?? I think it found the perfect home.

A Long Overdue Thank You

Hello blogging friends!! Hope you are all staying cool. We've had a couple of beautiful days, but the heat & humidity are expected to be back this weekend. I've been taking advantage of the beautful weather. I've been weeding my flower beds & cleaning out my 2 little ponds. They were pretty nasty!! Feels great to finally have that done.

Now on to the big "Thank you". Melissa from http://libbieshome.blogspot.com/ was giving away some fabric flags. She wanted us to let her know what plans we had for her little flags. I was one of the lucky winners & this is what she sent me...

Not one but two fabric flags & some Americana stickers that she had made. Along with the goodies was a nice little Americana card & a wonderful note.

And this is what I made from the goodies she sent me...

And I used the stickers to make these pantry jars. I love how they turned out.

Happy Friday

Good Morning!!

It's going to be a beautiful day~sun is shiny & temps are supposed to be in the low 80's. I'm off today which is an added bonus.

I'll be trying to get some projects going today, but wanted to show you my newest purchase. I love fall & pumpkins, so when I saw this wonderful punch needle pumpkin on a wooden paddle, I just had to buy it. It came from Lynn at 2stitchin. A Good Mail Day

Happy Thursday!!

Today was a super day for me!! My mailman brought me a wonderful package from Tamera at http://tamera-countryatheart.blogspot.com/. She was having a blog giveaway & I was one of the 12 winners. Boy~oh~boy is she ever generous!! She didn't just give away 1 goodie package~she sent out 12!!

These are my goodies.

A super cute handmade purse. This is going to be my new project bag. I carry a bag with hand work with me everywhere I go & this bag is the perfect size for this.

A handmade recipe holder. Isn't this the cutest little thing. Love it!!

A bag of fabric!! Yippee!! I'm not sure what this will become, but I'm thinking dolly dresses.
