Tuesday Display Chain....Framed In

Happy Tuesday Blogging Friends!!

It is time once again for Misi's display chain. This weeks theme is framed in. I thought all weekend about what I would post & finally decided to show some pics of some of my framed creations.

My first framed pic is the one I love the most. Being on a budget & living in an older home has presented some challenges. We didn't know how long we were going to stay here & didn't want to invest in a kitchen redo, so I painted & antiqued our kitchen cabinets. First I had hubby frame in the cupboard doors with inexpensive trim. These are the finished cabinets.

Here is what they looked like before the transformation. We had to buy one new one to replace this one which was starting to fall apart. It works great in the garage for extra storage though.

A needle felted pumpkin pic made by a fellow crafter. She also made the pumpkins.

My very first punch needle project.

A little wool felt pumpkin pic. Made this one to sell, but couldn't part with it.

Framed piece of crazy quilt.

Christmas gift I made for my mom a couple of years ago. She had a friend make the frame.

I made this pic from an old mirror I picked up at the thrift store. I used a piece of an old quilt for the background. This sits on the fireplace at my Mom's house.

A beautiful quilt in an antique frame made by my very talented mom.

Thanks for stopping by & make sure to check out the other wonderful posts on Misi's blog. You can find her here http://1890gablehousemusings.blogspot.com/2011/09/week-1-framed-in-month-long-display.html.

See ya!!

Great interpretation Becky - (Sorry - I'm a little behind getting around to all the posts...) Awesome job on the cabinets - hard to believe they're the same as the one in the garage! Great idea! And all your lovely framed hand-dids....gorgeous! Wow - didn't know your mum was a quilter extraordinaire as well....That little quilt of hers is absolutely amazing! Love it all! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
