Today is the final day in the Merriment Chain hosted by Misi and Robyn. Thank you both. I had a great time taking part in the chain. I met some new bloggers, saw some fantastic decorations, did some creating, drooled over some yummy looking food, and blogged daily.

Merriment Day 21...Helping Others

 

Tonights post is about the little things we can do for others. I have a coworker whose husband has cancer and the prognosis is not good. We have decided to do a meal "chain" for her family so that she has one less thing to worry about. Tomorrow is my day, so I have baked some lasagna. I will add a bag of salad mix, some bread sticks, and chocolate chip cookie bars for dessert.

 

 

If you could, I'm asking if you can say an extra prayer for her family tonight.

Merriment Day 15...Goodies from the Antique Mall

 

These guys are our big purchase at the antique mall. I made the mistake of showing my hubby Marie's collection of elves. He collects them too, but Marie's collection had his beat. So....off to the antique mall we go. As you can see, he found quite a few. Sorry for the poor picture quality...a photographer I am not.

I behaved myself and only came home with 1 grater.

Merriment Day 14

 

 

It's day 14 of the Merriment Chain hosted by Misi and Robyn (see links on my sidebar). Yesterday hubby and I spent the day at the antique mall and had a great time. I know I promised to show you what we bought , but I find that I am out of time. I was busy cleaning up the house & now I need to leave for work soon. The packages aren't even unpacked, so today you get to see the small bowl rack in my downstairs powder room.

 

 

Hopefully I can show you what we bought tomorrow.

Merriment Day 11...A Family Tradition

 

I headed over to my parent's house tonight after work to take part in our annual cookie baking party.

It has become a family tradition to get together every year and bake Christmas cookies. Me, my mom, sister,and 2 nieces had a marathon baking session tonight. My sons used to take part too when they were younger, but now only one is home and he only wants to eat them, not help make them.

 

 

My oldest niece with her cookies. Her favorite are sugar cut out cookies.

 

And the little one didn't make it throught the night.

 

I'll be visiting the others taking part in the chain in the morning. After working 11 hours today and then baking, this girl is pooped.

Merriment Day 2 and Ornament Swap Goodies

Here is my picture of the day...Snowman Oreo Pop. Great stocking stuffer idea. Stephen made these for a fundraiser for his Eagle Scout Project & I sold them at my craft show for him. They were a great seller. We only came home with 5 of them.

 

 

And here are my wonderful ornies I received from Miss Marie's ornament swap. Lovely little snowman ornie from Marie. See the little bag next to the snowman??? It's filled with chocolate & I can't believe the bag is still unopened. No ~it's not my great willpower...I've just been too busy to get into it. Hehe..

 

Prim perfect gingerboy from Brenda. Brenda creates such fabulous goodies. Make sure you check her out if you haven't already. She is currently hosting a giveaway & I think she's one of the most generous ladies here in blogland. Thank you Brenda.

 

 

 

Grubby little Santa crow. Isn't he just the cutest?? He was made by my friend Janet from Olde Crow Primitives. Janet is a fellow quilter & crafter and has a lovely blog. Thank you Janet.

 

Don't you just love this Santa ornament?? I sure do. Just look at the detail on him. He is a gift from Mary at Marmmies,Mammy's, and More. I just recently "found" Mary in blogland & am getting to know her through her blog. Thank you Mary.

 

 

And last, but certainly not least are these two wonderful ornaments from Tammy over at A Primitive Place. Tammy sent this fantastic little stumpy Santa ornie & a prim little baby sock ornament. Love them both. Thank you Tammy.

A productive day off

Good Morning!! It's still morning here for a little bit. I'm off today and have a huge list of things I want to get done. I've got a great start....laundry is done, dinner is in the slow cooker, cookies are baking, and I'm trying to finish up some ornies for a swap. I think I can get it all done and help my son with his Eagle Scout project later today. He needs to spread some landscaping stone when school is out. I guess I better finish up this post & shut down the computer.

A huge misfit pumpkin. I didn't realize how big these guys are. He's sitting on my bench with a quilt I made a couple of years ago.

Some of My Goodies in Their Homes

 

 

Good Afternoon. I'm popping in quickly to show off some of my goodies from my swap with Olde Lady Morgan in their homes.

 

Two little witches are right at home in my kitchen.

 

 

Antique candy container on top of my newest cubby in my kitchen. It looks so lonely all my itself. Thanks Marie...I may have to go looking for more. Wanna help??? Such a bad girl you are...hehe!!

 

 

Big ole white pumpkin on top of my stove board. Love it!!

 

 

Grater, little shoo fly, and a couple of needle felted acorns in a small wooden bowl.

 

 

Prim little doll. Kind of reminds me of my mom with her grey hair. So precious. And to the left on the little blue cubby...a couple of needle felted pumpkins and acorns.

 

 Prim rabbits...meet Henry and his little sister Hillary. Henry was a purchase from Marie....I begged her to make me one after someone else beat me to him on her selling blog. Hillary was a special request for our swap. I thought Henry needed some company. Marie, sweetheart as she is, made Hillary for me. Don't you just love her dress?? It's an antique baby dress. The little white pumpkin is from our swap we did last year.

 

I have a few other goodies from Marie, but I'll save those for another post. Have a great day everyone. I'm off to work.
