Our "New" Old House

Hello friends. I thought I'd show you some pics of our new home. My hubby and I closed on our dream home two weeks ago and we've been working on it ever since. It is an old log and stone home. She has beautiful bones, but needs quite a bit of work. We are trying to get a bunch of things done before moving in. So...here area a couple of pics for you.

Living room...need to find a wood burning stove.

Other side of the living room. Stairs go to the master bedroom.
Kitchen...already peeled the wallpaper off the walls. I'm not a huge fan of the cabinets, but they are staying for now.

Log walls..these are exposed in the hall, the bathroom, and my sewing room.

Just a peek at some of the beautiful wall paper that will be coming down.

So now you know what I've been up to.

Enjoy the rest of your week~Becky

Hi Becky...well I saw this post but my blogger is not working because I posted a comment way back when you posted this.
I'm having issues with blogger updating and now I have to physically go through all my blogs to see if they have posted current...sorry I missed this post.
Congratulations on your new home.
Blessings on this Memorial weekend.

Congratulations on successfully purchasing your dream home. That is a very exciting story. Older homes typically do need quite a bit more work of course but the end result is almost always worth it. The living room would look great with a new wood stove. The kitchen has a lot of potential as well.
