Shame Shame

Good morning friends. This is what we woke up to this morning. See the pole there??? It used to hold a flag. Someone stole it last night!! Who steals the American flag?? Come on now. They tried to take the pole too, but it was screwed on to the house. I guess I'll be heading to the store to buy a new one.

I managed to finish up my quilt stocking ornies a while back. Yippee!! I now have a few goodies for my booth.

Long Time No Post

Happy Sunday. It's been raining and dark and dreary all day today. It's the perfect day to have some home made chicken noodle soup & fresh baked bread. I'm sorry I've been absent from blogging again. I just haven't been in the mood to do much of anything. I have the blahs.

 

 I finally decided I had to get my butt moving and make something. I'm starting with these quilt stockings. They have always been a good seller at my shows & are super easy to make~the perfect project to get me back into crafting. I'm hoping finishing these will motivate me to move on to the next project. I have a long way to go to finish them up, but it's a start.

Tuesday Display Chain A Crafting Secret Exposed

I'm slowly getting my Mojo back & decided it's time to jump into Misi's weekly display chain. This week's theme is A Crafting Secret Exposed.

Because I was goofing around on Pinterest again this evening, I have no pics to share, but I do have a tip to share.

So here goes:

Tip #1  I learned this years ago & it still comes in handy. To stuff small dolls or parts such as fingers & toes fill a drinking straw with fiberfill. Stick the straw down into the part to be stuffed & push the stuffing out of the straw. I use a small wooden skewer to get the stuffing out of the straw. It works wonders.

The other thing I would love to share is always take some hand work with you when going to appointments such as the doctor or dentist. While waiting to be called in, pull out your project & get to work. You'll be amazed at what you can get accomplished.

Henry Goes to Grandmas for Easter

Happy Monday All. Today is a day off & I'm trying to get my chores done so I can work on some projects. It's windy & sprinkling outside~perfect for creating.

 Yesterday we spent the day at my parent's house celebrating Easter a week late. It was a nice day spent with family. Of course Henry had to come along. Henry is my prim rabbit I bought from Marie aka OLM. Here he is hanging out with Cody (my oldest). This was taken right after we had eaten & Henry was ready for a nap.

Here he is in the truck on the way home. Hubby asked if I was going to belt him in. Hehe. He thinks I'm a little crazy.

Super Easy Easter Basket

Good Evening blogging friends. I just had to show you these super easy Easter baskets I made. I found these on Pinterest. I love how they turned out. This is a super simple & fairly inexpensive thing to make. If you would like to make some for yourself you can find the directions here.

Baking Day

Today is a late work day for me & it was cruddy & raining, so I decided to bake some cookies. These are super simple to make & only have a few ingredients. Here's the recipe if you would like to bake some of your own.

German Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 Box German chocolate cake mix (any brand)

1/2 cup softened butter

1 tsp. vanilla

6 oz. bag chocolate chips

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

2 eggs

Mix 1/2 the cake mix, butter, vanilla, & eggs together. Add other 1/2 of cake mix & blend well. Stir in chocolate chips & walnuts. Drop by teaspoon full onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Let baked cookies cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute. Remove to cooling rack & let cool completely.
