My Patterns from The Olde Country Cupboard have arrived..

Happy Monday Friends~

I just had to show off my winnings from Sandy at The Olde Country Cupboard. They arrived in Saturday's mail, but this is the first chance I have to share with you all. I got to choose 5 free patterns. These are the ones I chose.

If you haven't visited Sandy's blog yet, you're missing out. Thank you so much Sandy for sharing your wonderful talents with all of us & for picking me as one of your lucky blog giveaway winners.

We had perfect weather Saturday for my nieces wedding. The sun was shining & we had a nice breeze all day. I just wish I had remembered my camera. What a day to forget it.

Have a wonderful week!! I'm working later this evening, so I'm off to do some stitching, stuffing, & painting before heading off to work. The countdown is on~less than 2 weeks until my first show.

Thanks for visiting!!

A Finish, A Soapholder, & Baking Cookies

Happy Friday Everyone~

I've been trying to stay off the computer lately because I have 2 big craft shows coming up & I spend way too much time blogging. So this will be a quick post & I'll be off again. I've been getting alot of things started, but not much finished. I managed to finish up this cross stitch broom today. A small project, but a finished project none the less. The cross stitch is part of a freebie from Primitive Betty's blog.

This next picture is my version on the soap holder that many of us in blog land are making. I much prefer the ones with more curves, so eventually I will make another one. Until then, this one will do.

I'm busy making cookies for my nieces wedding tomorrow. They decided last minute that they needed cookies~so Aunt Becky gets elected. I don't mind doing it for them, but a little more notice would have been nice. Oh well~ have a wonderful week end everyone!!

I Won!! I Won!! I can't believe I won~

Oh my goodness!! I'm so excited!! Sandy over at The Olde Country Cupboard was having a pattern giveaway on her blog & I won. She had a drawing for 10 of her patterns (your choice). I didn't win the 1st prize, but because she is such a sweetie she had her hubby draw 4 more names. Each of those people won their choice of 5 of her wonderful patterns. I have to say I am a huge fan of Sandy's patterns & own quite of few of them already. It was hard to choose my 5 favorites, but I did. Woo Hoo!! Thank you so much Sandy!!

If you haven't had a chance to check out Sandy's blog~you need to hop over there right now!! You won't be disappointed!! She has lots of wonderful ideas, freebies, & of course lots of wonderful patterns for sale. Just click on the highlighted text above to head on over.

I'm on vacation for the next 2 days so I am trying to avoid the computer. My first craft show is in 3 weeks & I really need to get some things done as I'm on full time hours at my job lately (it's supposed to be a part time gig but I'll take the $$ when I can).

Swap Goodies Have Arrived....

Happy Saturday Friends~

I was so excited when I got home from work yesterday! I did a swap with Donna http://sweetprairiedwellings.blogspot . My package was waiting on the porch for me. Well, I just had to grab it & rip it open. This is what my floor looked like when I was done. Lookie at all the wonderful goodies she sent me..com/

The first thing I unpacked was this prim little corn cob dolly. She found a home with her big sister in the tote in my kitchen. I love her!!

Next up was this grungy jar with a grundgy little tea light. The prim fabric tag says Apple Butter 1812.

A smaller grungy jar that says Simplify 1813.

Three prim pantry cakes~all a little bit different. Love them!!!

A nice little rusty candle pan.

This gathering is on my kitchen counter. Don't you just love it!

Pantry cake on top of my stack of shaker boxes.

One found a home in an old rusty tin cup.

I love this prim cone! I moved it from place to place before it found a home on my 16 drawer cubby.

Donna noticed in one of my older posts this old spool I purchased. She thought a prim electric candle would be perfect for it & threw one in my package. As you can see, it worked perfectly. I just need to add a grungy cheese cloth bow. Thanks girlfriend;>)

And last but not least was this wonderful gathering with a grubby towel wrapped in cheesecloth, candle, & sweet annie.

I knew the perfect spot for it as soon as I opened the package. It's new home is in my old blue bucket.

As you can see, Donna really spoiled me. Thank you so much Donna!! I love it all. I don't think I could pick a favorite~it's all perfect!!

I hope you enjoy your goodies when they arrive~I'm a little nervous.

Have a wonderful day everyone!! I need to get some crafting done cuz tomorrow is a work day again.

Prim hugs all~Becky

Thinking of Cooler Weather

I am so sick of the heat & humidity so I decided to think cool thoughts. I have been working a lot these last couple of weeks, but am trying to get some things made for my upcoming shows. I finished the following 3 snowmen this week. I had some greenery laying around so I decided to make the snowmen into door greeters. I love how they turned out. The snowmen were made from an Olde Country Cupboard pattern. Sandy has a wonderful blog & creates wonderful patterns, so if you get a chance, go check her out. You won't be disappointed. All 3 of these snowmen come on one pattern & she has the e pattern available on her blog for only $4.

Cooler weather & lower humidity are on the way. I can't wait!! I really would like to turn off the air & open some windows.

Enjoy the rest of the week end!!
I'll be working tomorrow again.

Church Sale Treasures

Good Morning Friends~

I'm writing a quick post & then the computer will go off for the day. I have to turn it off or I will be on it all day & I have things to do. I stopped at a church sale up the road from my home last Saturday & scored these goodies. A wonderful old frame for 50 cents. I don't care that it's missing a little part of it.

This little cutting board was only 25 cents. Love the shape of it.

I can't seem to pass up cutting boards lately. These 2 were 50 cents each. They will get painted & probably will become candle boards.

I better get going~lots to do today. Laundry, bills, school registration, & of coarse crafting.

Enjoy your day~Becky

Antique Mall Goodies a Day Late

Well, I'm posting this a day later than I planned, but I ended up working later than I wanted to. Warning~there are a bunch of pics.

I bought these hog scrapers to use for make dos. The big one in the back is actually an old bobbin. It was a bargain at 50 cents.

I love these little minis. The whisk broom is only 3 inches long. The little pottery pieces are just adorable.

A wooden bowl. I just can't seem to pass these up.

I love anything with an eagle on it, so when I saw this box of stamps, I had to have it. It's just a bonus that I can use the alphabet stamps for my craft projects.

A pottery crock with lid.

I love this little suitcase. I will use it as a display piece in my booth. I've never seen one like it before. It has 3 little wooden drawers that will be perfect for displaying my ornies for sale.

This Eagle crock has to be my favorite piece. I have never seen a crock with an Eagle on it before~so in the cart it went. There were also a couple of cute little acorn crocks, but I was too late to score them. They were in someone else's cart:( I have a bunch of Redwing crocks, but this is my first from another maker.

And at last is this bait box. I can't forget about the hubby (who loves to hunt & fish). It will go on our enclosed porch with his goodies.

I've been busy making coin purses for my upcoming shows. I have 40 done so far & am working on around 60 more. They are a big seller at my shows (inexpensive & cute) so I am making a bunch of them. I haven't made them in a couple of years. Last time I made them I had multiple orders to make (they make good gift card holders). I got sick of making them, so I stopped making them for a couple of years. I had purchased a ton of zippers, so I  finally used  them up. More stash gone!!

Before I finish up this post, I would like to show you where my pears from Brenda at The Rusty Thimble ended up. I put them in my blue bowl that is on my hoosier cabinet. I think I will add some filler to the bowl (I just need to run out & buy some).

Tomorrow is a day off, so I'll be working on finishing up my swap goodies for Donna. I'm really looking forward to this swap~so I really need to get the old hiney in gear.

I'm going to try to be good & stay off the computer!!

Enjoy the day~Becky

Columbus Antique Mall

Good Morning Friends.... I went on a shopping trip yesterday to the Columbus Antique Mall & boy did I bring home some goodies. I will show you them tomorrow, but today I thought I would share some pics of the mall. It is huge & some of the booths are messy, but here are some nice ones. I like the cabinet in this pic.

A bunch of crockery.

Nice doll house.

Love the garden bench!!

Spice tins.

Old bottles & books.

Love this display & the old quilt. Of course the quilt was not for sale.

Neat old green cupboard.

I would love to have this white cabinet. Lots of room for goodies.

This is the 3rd floor of the antique mall. This floor is mostly furniture. There are 4 big rooms filled with furniture.

I wanted this cabinet, but it was already sold:(

Hope you enjoyed the tour. It is a wonderful place to shop & there is also a Christopher Columbus Museum in the same building. Check back tomorrow to see what came home with me.

I'm off to work!!

Completed Projects...Finally

TGIF Everyone~

I've been trying to finish up some things I've had laying around the house. First on the list of to do's were these Santas. I'm glad to have them done, priced, & packed away. They are a Chestnut Junction pattern. I have little fabric candy canes for them to hold. I'll have to add them when I unpack & set up my booth cuz they're somewhere in a "finished" box.

These witches were next. I finished ten of them yesterday. They are so funky.

Prim Kitties were next. 10 done!! Yes!

And bringing up the rear are these prim pumpkin guys. Also 10 of these.

All these projects were almost done & just needed finishing touches & price tags. I feel better now that they are finished. I'm starting to wonder how I will get everything done that I want to do for my upcoming shows. I'll just have to get my hiney in gear I guess.

I'm off to the antique mall tomorrow for their customer appreciation sale & will probably hit some garage sales on the way. Then I have some swap goodies to finish up. It's going to be a busy day.

Sunday I'll be working.

Have a great week end!!
Hugs~Becky
