Fabulous Recipe Found on Pinterest

Okay~so something is going on here. I have this wonderful underlining on my blog & can't get it off, so I'm just going to post like this. I know it's bad when my son can't figure it out.

Don't know what happened, but it's gone!! Yippee!! So while checking out pinterest for days & days, I decided to finally try one of the recipes that I pinned. I tried the Sweet & Spicy Bacon wrapped Chicken & it was fabulous!! The best part about it, was it was super easy to make & I had all the ingredients. This is before baking.

And this is after it came out of the oven. The only thing I would do different was put it under the broiler for a bit to crisp up the bacon. I think it would also be great on the grill.

If you would like to try this recipe, you can find it here http://diaryofarecipeaddict.blogspot.com/2011/07/sweet-spicy-bacon-chicken.html.

In other news, I'm on overnights for the next two weeks. Not looking forward to it.

Have a wonderful night all~Becky

Look at What Arrived in the Mail

Happy Friday!! It's overcast & snowing here today~the perfect day to stay indoors & do some creating. Too bad I have to leave for work in a couple of hours.

I want to show you all the goodies that arrived in the mail last week. Denise from http://wwwprairieblue.blogspot.com/ was having a blog giveaway & I was the lucky winner. If you are not familiar with her blog, you should pop over for a visit. She has a wonderful way with words & I always feel better after visiting her blog.

Here are the goodies she blessed me with. A wonderfully prim fabric covered box, a pretty little fabric covered journal, and some beautiful cards with a pen for writing my notes.

I thought I had the perfect place for the box in my blue cabinet, but it was a wee bit bigger than I thought it would be so I placed it next to my mini cabinet. I love it here. It fits perfectly.

The little blue journal found a home in my blue cupboard. It sits right in the front on the bottom shelf. Isn't it just adorable?? When I unwrapped it, I was oohing & aahing. My son came out to see what the commotion was all about & rolled his eyes at me when I showed him. A future man who just doesn't understand. Hehe!!

The notecards are so pretty. I'm not sure I will use them. They may end up displayed somewhere in the house. Thank you so much Denise for the beautiful goodies.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!

Hugs~Becky

Wanna See My New Baby??

This baby was my Christmas present from my dear hubby. My old suburban was just not very dependable anymore, so we bit the bullet & bought a "new" used vehicle. She holds a ton of goodies~perfect for the thrift stores and antique shops. And she will come in handy when Marie aka Old Lady Morgan & I finally meet up & have a day of power shopping. She doesn't know it yet, but I'm planning on having her show me where all the great estate sales are. Although maybe we will take her vehicle & try to shove all our goodies in that. I hear she's really good at figuring out how to get oversized packages into smaller vehicles. Hehe!!

Have a wonderful day my friends! I'm off to do some creating.

Hugs~Becky

Busy Day...New Valentine Goodies

Happy Friday!! Today was a day off work, so I decided to finally make some goodies. I made this bowl of hearts & a few others from an old quilt that I had laying around. Each one is unique. They all are about 4 inches. I wrapped some grungy cheesecloth around each one and attached a tag with a rusty crusty jingle bell & rusty pin. They look wonderful in a wooden bowl.

Here are some close up shots. Remember, I'm a terrible photographer, so these look much better in person.

#1 says Be Mine

#2 says Valentine

#3 says Cutie pie

#4 says Love

And #5 says Valentine

I'm giving these 5 away to the first 5 people to comment. Let me know in your comment which heart you would like 1-5. First person gets first choice, second person get the 2nd choice & so on. After commenting, please email me your shipping info at primitivesnstitchin at hotmail dot com. Sorry, but this giveaway is open to US residents only.

If you are interested in purchasing these hearts, I will make a limited amount of sets. They will be $18.00 for a set of 5 which will include shipping. You will have your choice of sayings. Email me to purchase. I accept paypal only at this time.

Thanks and have a wonderful weekend~Becky

Christmas Gifts

Good afternoon friends. Seems like I'm posting less & less these days. And would you like to know the reason??? Can anyone guess??? It'a a new addiction of mine~Pinterest. Yep~I've been spending hours on the site. I love it, but I'm not getting a thing done. I look at what all of you are making & I'm so jealous. I don't have the will power to turn off the computer.

So I'm finally showing a couple of goodies I got this year for Christmas. The first is an original Jackie Schmitt angel I found in an antique mall before Christmas. She is a tree topper. She was only $12.00!! I scooped her right up before Mom saw her. I told myself I wasn't going to buy anymore Christmas stuff, but couldn't resist.

And at the same antique mall I found this beauty. Mom bought it for me for Christmas. I have a "thing" for old boxes & cubbies & couldn't resist. Love it!! Thank you Mom!! It's wood & has metal drawers. I don't know what it was used for, but it's mine now!!

So besides hanging out all the time on Pinterest, I haven't been doing much of anything else. I'm back to working overnights this week. We're getting ready for the new Spring clothing line to come in. This week if camo clothing & the next couple of weeks will be the casual clothing lines. I'm not a fan of working the night shift. Good thing it's only a few weeks a year.

Take care my friends. Time to start cooking dinner & then it's off to work. Have a great week!!

Hugs~Becky

For Mary

Good morning blogging friends~

I had a request a few weeks ago for a better picture of this quilt. So~this one's for Mary. I just wanted you all to know that I do read all your comments. I'm just really bad about responding back to you. I have the best intentions, but get distracted easily.

Anyhoo~about the quilt. It's an older pattern by Sandy Gervais called Pineapple Pie. The pattern is still available if any of you are interested in making one for yourselves. It's a pretty easy quilt to put together. If I remember right, it took me a weekend to piece the top. I made this one about 5 or 6 years ago & it still is one of my favorites.

Not too much going on here. I've been busy at work with inventory & getting settled in my new position. I still have much to learn.

Hoping to get my creating groove back soon.

Have a wonderful day~Becky
