Antique Mall Goodies X 2

Yippee!! It's Thursday!! One more day to work. Hopefully I'll get busy & get some goodies made this weekend. It's only 3 months till my first show & I have nothing done. 3 months seems like a long time, but it's really not. I usually work on goodies all year.

I went to the Pardeeville Antique Mall with my Mom last week & picked up lots of new goodies. I found lots of blue things (my favorite color).

This wood bowl is huge. It's my biggest yet. Don't know yet if I will add it to my stack or if I will find another home for it. I also got both whisk brooms, 2 little pillows (one from on old coverlet piece & the other feather stuffed made from old ticking).

Here's a close up of the quilt covered whisk broom. It has an old #37 metal tag attached to the front. The little tag says Vintage finds.

Some quilt wrapped clothespins. Made from an old blue & white quilt. The bowl is one of 5 hubby brought home from his mom's house. They used to use them as cereal bowls.

I love this strawberry pinkeep. It fits in perfectly with the larger strawberry pinkeep I made this year.

This little bag was too cute to pass up. One side has an old quilt piece...

And the other side is stitched with the date 1860. I didn't even notice the stitched side until I unwrapped it at home. LOL I liked the quilted side.

I also bought a stretcher board & a little metal grater, but forgot to take a picture. Oops!

Thank you for all your kind comments. I love to read them all. I'm off to read & respond to yesterdays comments. Have a good night!!

Hugs~Becky

Blue is my favorite color too. I love old quilts used in different ways. The smallest piece can make a project look so prim. Love all the goodies you found. Good shopping day.

Those are all wonderful finds, Becky!!! Pardeeville, you say....Hmmmm...will have to file that away in this little crow-brain and try to remember it for a road trip. They certainly seem to have "funnier" things than around these parts...Love your little whisk brooms and that sweet strawberry the best! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Wonderful! I like those little brooms! I have thought about just getting some at work, I most likely will at some point. The old ones are not easy to find here anyhow. I can make a make-do type. Trying to clean and organize here. It is not easy! Not my favorite thing to do! The organizing part isn't easy for me!
Have a good weekend.
