My New Dolly

Happy Monday Everyone!!

I hope you are all having a wonderful day so far. It's a beautiful day here in Wisconsin It's so nice that I don't want to go to work tonight.
I thought I would share with you all the pictures of my new doll that I purchased from Maureen at Sweet Meadows Farm. I bought the doll as a late Mothers's Day gift for my mom, but decided that I couldn't part with her. Maureen was including the pattern with this doll, so I'll have to make one for my mom.

I had a wonderful weekend this past weekend. Saturday I took Stephen to a boy scout merit badge workshop and went rummaging with a girlfriend later in the day. I will post some pics of my treasures later this week.

Sunday was my anniversary. I went to the first flea market of the season with a friend & my mom. I found lots of goodies at the flea market, but will save that for another post.  Hubby was going to go along, but decided to stay home & putter with his 4 wheeler.  When I got home I did some planting. It was a great weekend.

Time to get ready for work. Have a wonderful week!!

Did someone say road trip?

Good Afternoon All~

I've been in a funk since Cody's Eagle ceremony. I loved how the ceremony turned out, but haven't had the ambition to do anything since that day. I think I just needed a couple of days to do nothing. Well ~I've done nothing for the last 3 days & now I'm mad at myself for not doing anything. I know I probably just needed to "chill", but it's hard to get over the fact that I wasted 3 days. Oh well~enough whining!! I decided to get out of the house & shop today. And boy did I ever shop!! I visited one of my favorite quilt shops~Primitive Gatherings in Menasha. To check out Lisa's website click here. So my mom and I went off to see who could do the most damage to the pocketbook.

I just had to buy the newest book~ Summer Gatherings. What a wonderful book. There is a project in this book for everyone.

Kits to go with the book~3 pin cushions & a house sampler.

Another pattern & kit~stitchery with wool applique.

More patterns & a couple of balls of Valdani thread. Two of these were older patterns & were 50% off.

There was a kit there for a beautiful basket quilt, but I had to leave it behind because I have way too many unfinished quilt kits already. I may have to go back for it though. I can't stop thinking about how nice it would look on my bed.

With all these goodies, guess who won in the most spent contest. Not me!! Mom beat me out for that honor. She will be joining in with all those "crazy ladies" making a wool crazy quilt. It will be beautiful when she is finished.

I'm feeling much better now. I'm not sure if it was the road trip or finally getting to see the sun after 3 days of rain.

Have a great rest of the week & enjoy the weekend.

Hugs~Becky

Dreary Day and Cody's Eagle Ceremony

Good Morning. It is a dreary, rainy day here in Wisconsin and looks like it will be this way for a couple of days. I have a few pictures I took before Cody's  Eagle ceremony last Saturday. We had a friend take pics of his actual ceremony so we have to wait for those pics. These are some I managed to snap before being hauled off to practice for the big day. First up is the quilt I made for him along with some of the things he's made in his scouting career.

Pictures of him on his many journeys and his project book.

Bringing in the flags.

More practicing.

Cody with his honor guard~3 Eagle Scouts.

This was taken after the ceremony. My grandma, Cody, and me. Can you tell the sun was in our eyes? It was a beautiful day & a beautiful ceremony. We are so proud of Cody.

I'm off the snuggle with my poochie and do some stitching. It's a great day to snuggle up and stitch.

Enjoy the day~Becky

Eagle Pictures as Promised and Prom

What a wonderful day we had today in Southern Wisconsin. The sun was shining & it was in the high 70's.

I finished my eagles for Cody's Eagle ceremony on Saturday. What a relief that is. This pic is eagles before wings.

Piles of wings waiting to be attached to bodies.

Finished eagles...

Close up view of finished table decorations. I think these will make wonderful keepsakes for the guests.

Last weekend was prom and Cody decided last minute that he wanted to go. I'm sure it was more Brit's idea than his. Too late to order a tux, so to add to my stress I had to run him all over to try to find a suit I think we did okay. This is the two of them before leaving for dinner. They had a good time.

So now the countdown begins for Cody's eagle ceremony on Saturday. I'm glad I have the next few days off because I'm already a basket case. I'm going shopping tomorrow for most of the food and precooking what I can. Friday is set up, cooking, picking up the cake, & last minute running around. Hoping I don't forget anything. We're expecting about 80 people (mini wedding).  Wish me luck!!

It's been crazy in our household these last couple of weeks. We've been busy planning Cody's Eagle Scout Court of Honor. Let me tell you~it's like planning a small wedding. Guest list, invitations, food, decorations, video, photographer, etc. This Saturday is the day it all takes place.  I hope we have good weather~right now it looks like rain:(

Well~I need to get busy. I have some decorations to paint & pictures to add to a photo album for this week end before I head off to work tonight.

Have a great day!!
