Happy Sunday!!

I hope you all had a wonderful day. I spent most of the day with a friend at the flea market. It was cold, windy, & rainy, but it was also a lot of fun. Some of the vendors packed up & left, but many others braved the nasty weather. When we were getting ready to head for home, the sun decided to peek out from behind the clouds. We decided to walk the grounds one more time to see what we missed under the tarps that the vendors had used to try to keep their wares dry. I only came home with one goodie, but I love it. Can you guess what it is??? Did ya guess the big wooden cubby?? Then you would be right!! My friend came home with an old blue metal wagon. She's going to use it for flowers. How did you spend your Sunday??

Have a wonderful week!!

Flea Market Goodies

Happy Thursday Friends!!

I hope you all are having a wonderful week so far. I spent this past weekend with family & friends. I did spent Sunday morning with my mom at a local flea market. It is held 4 times a year & the first one is usually the best. I ended up buying all kinds of goodies. This black cabinet is my favorite purchase. It is not old, but I love it anyway. The price $38. I bought it to go above my bed, but it didn't fit, so it ended up in my living room. I will show how it's decorated in another post.

I also got all these mashers for $15. Instant collection. I didn't want to buy so many at once, but the price was right. The last flea market I went to, vendors wanted $6 and up for one masher.

4 different game boards made from bread boards~$5 for all.

These old slates were a bargain too. I stained them to make them look older. The wood was unfinished & I like my goodies to look old.

A set of fabric covered boxes for 50 cents also got the stain treatment. I have more goodies to share, but the boys will be home from school soon.

This next picture is not a goodie, but I thought you might like to see this beautiful deer. Tim & I usually see at least one deer on our hikes at Pike Lake State Park. If you are quiet, you can usually get pretty close to them before they run away.

Enjoy the evening~Becky

Beautiful Autumn Day and Flea Market Goodies

I can't believe it! We've had two wonderful days without rain. We sure needed the rain, but I thought it would never stop. Yesterday was a rare Sunday off work for me, so what's a girl to do-head out to the flea market. Hubby didn't want to go, so I went with my mom. I found lots of goodies (good thing hubby stayed home or some of the goodies would have stayed at the flea market). Top 2 pics are some wonderful old baskets I came just had to have. Love them. One was $15 and the other was $18. Lady didn't want to bargain cuz it was early, but I've seen smaller versions in shops for $30 and up, so I thought I got off with a pretty good price. Third pic is a bunch of smalls I picked up. Bought a bunch of zinc lids for 3/$1-blue bowl was free, and the others were $2 each. Everything in the last pic was $1 each. Most of the cans don't have a lid, but I'll be using them for crafts anyway and don't need the lid.
That's if for now!! Going back outside to do some fall decorating before the rains comes again. The forcast says more overnight.
Blessings,
Becky
