Display Chain~Easter Displays

It's Tuesday & time again for the display chain hosted by Misi at 1890 Gable House Musings.

This week's theme was picked by Robyn. She chose Easter displays.

I've shown most of mine already, but I have a few new ones.

It was a beautiful day, so I spent some time outside after work. I hauled a couple of goodies outside for this picture. A williraye santa riding a rabbit (kept out year round) paired with a bucket of flowers.

Rusty bunny looks like he's munching on my tulips.

I'm patiently waiting for something to bloom. Nothing today yet, but soon I hope.

Make sure to hop over to Misi's blog to see other lovely displays.

Enjoy your evening~Becky

Tuesday Display Chain~Redo & Hoosier for Sale

Happy Tuesday friends. I'm linking up with Misi today at 1890 Gable House Musings for today's display chain. This weeks theme is redo.

This is what I am working on redoing. I made the lamp shade from a plain white shade. Wove this wool basket & stitched on some berries & vines. The base is an old spool that someone had made into a lamp. As you can see, I still need to remove the apple & sand off the red paint.

And after checking out some other bloggers offerings, I decided to redo the tops of some of my things. I was so excited to be redoing some things, that I forgot the "before" pics until after I had everything ripped apart.

This is the top of a cabinet in my living room. Decided to put a bunch of my Rowe pottery in one place instead of having it spread throughout the house.

This shelf is on the wall in my dining room. Before it was just a hodge podge of different things. I decided to add most of my old bobbin collection to it.

Redid the top of my pie safe in my sewing room. This used to hold my bobbin collection. I like the simplified look here.

This little stand sits on a small table in my sewing room. This is a new addition. I added some pinkeeps & the rest of my bobbin collection here.

Here is the Hoosier cabinet I'm selling. The blue cupboard took it's place & while I love the Hoosier, I no longer have a home for it. It would have to be picked up, but if you're looking for a hoosier & live close to Milwaukee, Wisconsin (or are interested in a road trip) shoot me an email & we'll talk.

Make sure to head over to Misi's blog to check out what others have redone.

I'm off to tech school with #1 son for a required meeting about his upcoming classes.

Have a wonderful day!!

Thank you to all who commented to wish me a Happy Birthday!!

Tuesday Display Chain~Recently Acquired......Swap Goodies

It's Tuesday again & time for Misi at 1890 Gable House Musings display chain. This week's theme is recently acquired. I did a swap with Olde Lady Morgan. We had such fun teasing back & forth about our swap. Well, my package arrived yesterday. I decided to save my goodies for today's post. Just look at this huge box that I found on my doorstop!! Wanna peek???

What do you think is inside?? OMG is that a dolly poking her head out?

For a while I thought the box was bottomless. I kept unpacking & giggling with glee.

First up was this wonderfully prim bunny. Love him!!! I love rabbits & keep them displayed year round.

Package two contained these perfectly prim eggs.

Packages three & four~prim doll & little slave doll. I love these!! I will probably put the doll head near my hubby's chair to torment him. LOL

Package five was "Becky". I love all my goodies, but Becky is my fav. She is a ditzy angel who has to carry a sack of wings with her cuz she keeps losing hers. She is too funny!!

Package #6 contained this green JOL! Love him!! He is my first green pumpkin & will fit in perfectly with all my Halloween goodies.

Package seven (we agreed on 5 goodies). I'm thinkin I'm a little bit spoiled at this point!! Lovely white pumpkin. Oh my goodness~there's more!!

Package 8!!  Wowsers!! Snowman hanger. What can I say~he's perfect!! Don't want to pack him away.

8 packages~9 actually because she sent me those chocolates in the first picture. Had to fend off the boy~he zeroed in on the chocolates right away. Almost had to kick him in the behind for trying to touch mama's chocolates. HeHeHe!!

Marie~ you are the best!!! I had a great time teasing & swapping with you. Thank you!! I hope you like your goodies as much as I love mine!!

If you're lovin any of these goodies, Marie sells her goodies on LemonPoppyseeds & Simply Primitives. Check her out under Primitives by old lady morgan.

Don't forget to hop over to Misi's blog to see the other wonderful posts for today's display chain.

Have a wonderful evening!!

Tuesday Display Chain... Easter Baskets and A Swap Teaser

It's Tuesday again & display chain time at 1890 Gable House MusingsMake sure to head over & check out the other Easter Basket Displays. I did a basket post here if you would like to check it out. I don't want to bore you with the same pictures, so I picked three that fit this weeks theme.

First up is this little wire basket. I filled it with 3 little wooden eggs & some paper grass.

This little basket is usually filled with Easter M&M's, but I decided I didn't need them this year. I filled it with some prim painted paper mache eggs.

This last basket is my old Easter basket. I've filled this one with some Easter chicks & more eggs.

And this is a teaser pic for one of my swap partners. I know~kind of weird to see a pumpkin so close to Spring time, but she loves Fall decorating.

Better get back to work. My goal is to finish up all my swap goodies today & it won't happen if I don't turn of my computer.

Enjoy your day & don't forget to check out the other Basket posts over at Misi's. There are lots of really nice ones.

Is it Tuesday Already? Time for Another Display Chain...

I'm taking part in Misi's display chain again this week. This week's theme:  In the closet-obsessions. I have many obsessions~baskets, crocks, cubbies, bunnies~the list could go on & on. My biggest obsession though has got to be quilts.

These are the pictures I usually show you (the good).

What I don't normally share are these (the bad & the ugly).

Drawer full of wool kits & quilt kits.

Small stack of many stacks in the spare closet.

Another cabinet (closet) full of quilt kits.

I have enough kits to keep me busy for years. This was just a small "taste" of all my fabric.

What's your closet obsession? To join in, head on over to Misi's to link up. We'd love to see it!!

Enjoy your day~Becky

Display Chain~ Stitched or Sewn with Love

Once again, I'm taking part in Misi's display chain. This week's theme is Stitched or Sewn with Love. I have lots of things I could share, but decided to stick with my three favorites.

Both the rabbit & prairie doll were made for me by my mom. I am so grateful to still have her in my life. The prairie doll is one of my all time favorite gifts.

This quilt was one of the quilt tops that I finished a couple of years ago. I have a bad habit of making the quilt tops & then not putting them together & quilting them.
I sew each week with a small group of ladies. One is my mom & another I call my second mom. Two years ago they "borrowed" this quilt top (without me knowing) & finished it for me. It was a wonderful surprise & I am so thankful to both of them. It is beautiful!!

Please excuse the crappy pics~I can't seem to take a good one. The colors are much richer than pictured in all my pics. And does anyone know what this white circle is in this pic (bottom left side of quilt)?

This final picture is the quilt I made for my son upon completion of his Eagle Scout project. It took my 6 months to make, but I love how it turned out. Again~excuse the washed out pic.

To see other wonderful postings, head over to Misi's blog. You won't be disappointed.

Hugs~Becky
